Ordering from Lush UK

Okay, so I know forever ago I posted about an order that I placed on the lush UK website. But I really just want to make this blog post about what it is like to order from the lush UK website, because I feel I had gone in a little blind when I did.

The only reason I wanted to order from the lush UK website in the first place was because they had the Easter stuff way before the North American website did, but I never realized how much cheaper it can actually be to order from their UK site either.

Anyway lets get started with the facts.

One thing that is different on the UK website is that you can buy the fresh face masks, but this is something I do not recommend because with how long shipping can be your mask may not get to you within three weeks, and with it not being refrigerated that whole time it just seems like a bit of a waste.

Another random fact is that for the UK website you need to add a message saying what samples you would like to get in your package, but my experience with samples has been that because when I order the weight of my order is that close to being bumped up to the next size that I have never gotten the samples I asked for, but they are normally very generous with their samples.

When you are looking at lush goodies on the UK website the cost for each item is in pounds, so the first thing you want to do is have a currency converter page open so you can easily figure out how much the item cost in dollars. It is also a good idea to have the NA website page open as well so you can see how much you are saving and if it is worth it, some things have a difference of $10 others just $0.03.

Another thing to watch for is the exchange rate, it changes almost every hour, so how much something costs in the morning could be very different then what it costs at night.

Because the UK website has been known for getting hacked I strongly strongly recommend paying with paypal, and as soon as you check out you are taken to the paypal website where they tell you what the exchange rate is at that time and how much you owe.

So once you place your order you get an email from lush saying they have received your order, and then about two days or so you will get an email saying that your order has been shipped. Now the lush UK site using the royal mail shipping service, and does not provide a tracking number, and they say that your order will be delivered within 10 working days.

If that is not the case you can email lush and say you would like to have your order reissued, and they will ship out your order again, but what happens if you get both orders then is that you can ship the one back to them, or keep the extra and just pay half price for the second package. Its really up to you.

I hope this blog post has helped to clear up any questions you may have about ordering on the lush UK website

How to Break Lush Bath Bombs

So this is just a quick little post on how I break up my bath bombs to get maximum use out of them. I saw in the lush store that they use knifes to cut them but I like my method better.

By doing this I can get up six uses out of each bath bomb, and I feel I get more out of my money this way. Even with the smaller pieces the water still changes color, smells amazing, and moisturizes. So do not hesitate to break up your bath bombs.

1. Place bath bomb inside a plastic sandwich bag (this is what I store my bath bombs in and this way there is nothing wasted)

2. Place a screw driver onto the bath bomb and hammer the screw driver into the bath bomb with a shoe (yes sad but true, this is how I break my bath bombs)

3. Break it in half, and then break those half pieces again if you would like.

I know this method is a little odd but its just what I found laying around the house. but instead of being able to take 8 lush baths, I can now take 27, which is good considering how expensive the bath bombs are.
