I apologize, I fell off the blog posting boat while working on my outfits for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weeked. But since I am currently out of fabric from all the outfits I made for that trip and also my upcoming trip to Disney for the Princess Half Marathon, I figured I should start posting some of my outfits again. I decided to share the Easter dress I made for myself first since I will not be wearing this dress at Disney. The fabric I used was cotton lyrca from BCD fabrics from her surprise Easter retail. I think this fabric is absolutely adorable. I will add the link to the website here and the link to the Facebook page here . Unfortunately there was very limited retail of this fabric so I do not think there is any left. When Patterns for Pirates, Made for Mermaids, and Coles Corner and Creations announced their Fall Mini Capsule contest I knew I had to participate. For the contest, we needed to sew 9 pieces from their patterns that we can mix and match to create different outfits for the fall, and with my increasing collection of space themed fabric I knew I had to create a Fall Mini Cosmic Capsule.
For my capsule, I made 4 pairs of leggings with contoured waistbands, 2 dresses, 2 dolmans, and 1 cardigan using the following patterns from Patterns for Pirates.
I cannot wait to mix and match all these pieces into different outfits this fall. I have a few of the outfits I put together below.
For this first outfit, I have on the one Pumpkin Spice Dolman I made. The fabric is the Moon Phases Panel from Zenith and Quasar.
The Peg Legs were created using the Black Single Brushed Polyester from Sly Fox Fabrics.
For the second outfit, I mixed and matched the Peg Legs from the first outfit with this beautiful Sweetheart Dress. The fabric is the Galatic Garden fabric from Zenith and Quasar.
I also added the Carefree Cardigan to the outfit. The fabric for the cardigan was gray knit fabric from Walmart.
For this third outfit I have on the second Pumpkin Spice Dolman that I made. The dolman was made with some black knit fabric from Joann Fabric.
The second pair of Peg Legs was made with the Nebulous Swim fabric from Zenith and Quasar.
For the fourth outfit, I have on the same Pumpkin Spice Dolman as above but swapped out the Peg Legs for the pair I made using the Carina Nebula fabric from Zenith and Quasar.
For the fifth outfit, I have on my second Sweetheart Dress. I created this using the black viscose fabric from Sly Fox Fabrics.
This dress also pairs perfectly with the Carefree Cardigan.
For my final outfit, I have on the same Sweetheart Dress as before but added my final pair of Peg Legs. This pair of Peg Legs was made from the Cosmos DBP from The Fabric Geeks.
I had a lot of fun creating all of the pieces for my capsule. I cannot wait to wear everything once it starts to cool down. My next project lined up is to create my third outfit for my upcoming trip to Disney. A sneak peak of the fabric is below!
